On the very first day of CEO, the students wrote letters to themselves about their goals, expectations, fears, dreams, and where they thought life might take them. Today, they opened those letters.

It was such a full-circle moment and a reminder of just how much can change in one year. One of the coolest things to see is that several students completely changed their career paths because of CEO — through the experiences, business visits, mentors, networking, and real-world exposure they received this year. Sometimes all it takes is being exposed to new opportunities and perspectives to completely shift the direction of your future.

I truly cannot wait to see what these students do next. The growth in confidence, professionalism, communication, leadership, and self-awareness has been incredible to watch.

Today we celebrated with donuts and breakfast pizza, and the students received their graduation certificates, cords to wear at graduation, and a copy of Craig Lindvahl’s book — which I highly recommend. I’ve read it twice, and it never gets old. It’s full of life lessons, perspective, and practical common sense that applies far beyond business.
