Today we had an amazing opportunity at the Farm Progress Show aka- “Disneyland for Farmers” according to one of the students.
Thank you to Chad Moore and Derek from Bayer for getting us tickets! Thank you to George Strohl for getting us parking passes!
As Ethan said, “I had no idea this could be so fun!” Tommy stated, “I learned so much cool stuff about ag!”
They networked, learned to be resourceful, met people from all over the world, met other current and alumni CEO students, put in to practice how to introduce themselves as young professionals, and had a lot of fun doing it! They were immersed in marketing strategies and ideas! Experiential learning at its best!
Students were tasked with a scavenger hunt in teams. But the best comment was, “Angie, we didn’t get the tasks completed, but I met some really cool people and I learned so much!” “I talked to so many people and not even about ag but life!” “We met so many people from Canada.” “I met someone from Brazil.” “I learned all about a drone-the kid went to Parkland and majored in drones-I didn’t even know you could do that!”
