Today in CEO, we learned a little about communication, frustration, flexibility, and doing your part.
Students worked in groups to complete different puzzles-but just when they were getting into a rhythm, we switched things up. They had to leave their puzzle, move to another group, and pick up where someone else had left off.
Sound a little like running a class business? 😄
Things don’t always go the way you think they should. Someone else may approach a task differently than you would. Plans change. You may inherit someone else’s work-or someone may have to pick up where you left off. And sometimes, that can be frustrating.
But that’s where communication, accountability, and teamwork matter.
We came back to three simple but incredibly important expectations from Craig Lindvahl:
:
1. Do what you say you’re going to do.
2. Do it when you say you’re going to do it.
3. Communicate while you’re doing it.
Those three things build trust-and trust is essential when you’re working as a team.
As our students begin working together on their class business, the puzzle was a good reminder: You may not control every piece, but you are responsible for doing your part. 🧩
Another day of learning that CEO is about so much more than business. It’s about learning how to work with people.
