👔 A big CEO thank you to George Streckfuss and The Brass Horn!

What a great visit yesterday! We are so thankful to George for welcoming our CEO students, sharing the history of Brass Horn, and giving us a glimpse into the philosophy that has helped build a business rooted in service, relationships, and trust.

George talked about treating customers like family from the moment they walk through the door. Great service is about more than simply selling a product—it’s knowing your product, explaining its features and benefits, building trust, and genuinely taking care of people.

And then came a lesson our guys won’t soon forget—how to tie a tie! 👔 Now, a tie with a polo probably isn’t a look you’ll see walking down the runway anytime soon 😂, but George helped each of the boys, showed them how to coordinate and accessorize an outfit, and then taught them how to properly tie it. It was a fun, hands-on lesson in something many of them haven’t had much opportunity to practice.

George reminded all of our students that appearance and first impressions matter. His advice was simple: when the opportunity presents itself, wear the tie and dress your best. How you present yourself can help set you apart before you ever say a word.

One of our favorite parts of the visit, though, was hearing George talk about Decatur and the people who live here. His love for this community is evident. He chooses to see the good, speak positively about Decatur, and focus on the people and opportunities that make our community special.

That was an important message for our students to hear. We all have a choice about whether we focus on what’s positive or what’s negative in our community. People like George-who believe in their community, invest in it, serve others, and speak positively about it-are part of what makes a community strong.

And, of course, George had to show off his impressive “party trick”-being able to look at someone and pretty accurately tell their clothing size! 😂 After years in the business, he definitely knows his stuff!

Thank you, George, for your hospitality, encouragement, positivity, and willingness to invest in the next generation. We appreciate not only what you taught our students about business and professionalism, but also the example you set of loving where you live and doing your part to make it better. 🧡

And we have to say-even with the polos, the boys wore those ties pretty well! 😉 👔 The Brass Horn Men's Clothing Brass Horn Too Brass Horn Kids
